The nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were carried out by the United States during World War II, forcing Japan to cause and end the war. --- Attack background: World War II (1939-1945) was one of the deadliest wars in history. Japan was an ally of Nazi Germany and fascist Italy, and formed axial forces. After Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941), the United States made Japan oppose the war. --- Reason for the attack: 1. To quickly end the war: Despite the serious losses, Japan refused to incur. The United States believed that Japan's land invasion  would cost millions of people living in America and Japan. 2. To demonstrate the power of the Soviet Union: The United States wanted to demonstrate its nuclear power to the Soviet Union, which became its future rivals in the Cold War.  3. Revenge for the attack on Pearl Harbor: The United States wanted to punish Japan for a surprising attack on Pearl Harbor. 4. To avoid more casualties: The soil invasion in Japan, known as a downfall operation, was estimated to have caused the deaths of 1 million American soldiers and millions of Japanese civilians. ---  Hiroshima bombing (August 6, 1945): The US dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima called "Little Boy." The bomb had fallen from the American bomber aircraft, Enola Gay. 80,000 people died soon, and 140,000 people died from radiation and injuries. ---  Nagasaki bombing (August 9, 1945): A second bomb called "Fatman" was dropped in Nagasaki. The bomb had fallen from a "box curl" bomber. Approximately 70,000 people died soon, and 74,000 later died from radiation effects. --- The impact of bomb attacks: 1. Japan occurred on August 15, 1945 at the end of World War II.  2. The bomb attacks cause massive destruction and suffer from Japanese civilians. 3. The fear of nuclear weapons around the world was created. 4. The United States became a superpower after showing its nuclear power. --- Diploma: The US attacked Hiroshima and Nagasaki to quickly end World War II  and avoid other casualties. But it caused massive destruction and changed the world forever.
