Hannibal Mejbri of Burnley accused Milutin Osmajic of uttering a racial comment during a Championship game on February 15, 2025. A violent argument and a brief stop in play resulted from the incident, which happened in the 57th minute of the goalless draw at Deepdale. Mejbri informed referee Andrew Kitchen about the purported remark and then declared his resolve to address racism in sports. Osmajic "strongly refuted" the accusations in a post-match meeting with officials, Preston said. The Football Association has started looking into the situation.
