Pakistan’s Chase Falls Short

Chasing 345, Pakistan relied on skipper Babar Azam (78) and Salman Agha (56) to anchor their innings. However, they fell short, getting bowled out for 271 in the 45th over.

Series Lead for New Zealand

With this 73-run victory, New Zealand takes a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI is set for April 2 at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

Captaincy Change for New Zealand

Regular captain Tom Latham missed the match due to a hand injury, leading to Michael Bracewell stepping in as skipper for the series.
