Three killers in the World
Many people around the world, including human rights organizations and activists, accuse Israel of committing war crimes, apartheid, and even genocide in Palestine. Others, particularly Israel’s allies, argue that Israel is acting in "self-defense" against Hamas and other resistance groups. Whether Israel is considered a "terrorist" country depends on perspective, legal definitions, and political alliances.
Arguments for Calling Israel a Terrorist State
Many critics argue that Israel’s actions meet the definition of state terrorism, which includes systematic violence against civilians for political purposes. Here’s why:
1. Mass Killing of Civilians
Thousands of Palestinian civilians, including children, are killed in airstrikes, bombings, and military invasions.
Entire neighborhoods, hospitals, and refugee camps are destroyed, despite clear knowledge that civilians live there.
2. Apartheid & Ethnic Cleansing
Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the UN have all described Israel’s policies as apartheid—systematic discrimination against Palestinians.
Forced evictions, illegal settlements, and home demolitions aim to remove Palestinians from their own land.
3. Blockade of Gaza (Collective Punishment)
Israel has placed Gaza under siege since 2007, blocking food, water, medicine, and electricity.
This collective punishment is illegal under international law and has caused widespread suffering.
4. Execution of Unarmed Palestinians
Israeli forces have shot and killed Palestinian children, journalists, and medics in cold blood.
During protests like the Great March of Return, Israeli snipers killed civilians who posed no threat.
5. Targeting of Schools & Hospitals
Israel has bombed UN shelters, schools, and hospitals in Gaza, even when these locations were clearly marked as civilian sites.
This violates the Geneva Conventions, which protect civilians in war.
Why Some Defend Israel’s Actions
Israel and its allies claim:
It is acting in self-defense against Hamas, which launches rockets at Israeli cities.
Hamas allegedly uses civilians as “human shields,” though evidence is disputed.
Israel has a right to exist and defend itself.
Final Thoughts
If a non-state group carried out Israel’s actions—bombing civilians, blockading food and medicine, and executing children—it would likely be labeled a terrorist organization. Many believe Israel is committing state terrorism, using military power to oppress and eliminate Palestinians. Others see it as a colonial occupation driven by Western support.
The real question is: Why does the world allow this to continue? What do you think should be done to hold Israel accountable?
